Sonkor is known throughout our industry as the manufacturer of high quality air conditioning systems for direct expansion and hydronic products. We have been manufacturing air conditioning systems as our standard products for over 20 years, and every year we have enjoyed seeing our business grow and develop.

 
Besides the manufacturing of our standard product range, we also provide CONTRACT MANUFACTURING services. We began to offer our technical knowledge and manufacturing experience on contract manufacturing projects in 1999, and since then this segment of our business has developed from strength to strength.

 

In many Asian developing countries, such as China, legal and financial infrastructure lags behind industrial and economic growth. This means that every investment has a higher risk factor, especially with the challenges that all companies face operating in a foreign environment. Sonkor provides the specialized knowledge to overcome these challenges, and the cultural understanding to get the results you want, delivered on time and to your specifications and quality requirements.

 

To explain our contract manufacturing;
 
  • Some of our OEM customers had and still have a demand for a special product. These products are often produced in low volume and are very difficult to outsource.
  • Some OEM customers had a product which is so special from a components point of view that outsourcing to Asia was simply to difficult.
  • Some OEM customers wanted to outsource their special product but were not able to communicate with Asia about their specific requirements.

 
The above are only a summary of the facts we have experienced in the past. In the beginning of the development of contract manufacturing we realized this area was an opportunity for our company.

  • We are not production volume driven like many Asian manufacturers. Volume we receive in the manufacturing of our standard products. Therefore, there is no restriction in volume for these special products.
  • We are capable in purchasing all components in the world through our worldwide office locations and therefore are not restricted to Asian components.
  • Our communication skills and engineering capabilities are two of our strong points, as is our organizational base in Hong Kong (English, Japanese, and Chinese spoken) and global networkof offices. These offices in the European time zone make communication easily available and reliable.
